Create Purchase Requisitions in Slipstream | SAP Screen Personas

We are working our way through some of the more complicated standard transactions and turning them into Slipstream Apps. This time we have simplified the process to create a Purchase Requisition in Slipstream!

How to Create Purchase Requisitions in Slipstream.

Step 1: Access the SAP Slipstream Engine

  1. Log in to your SAP Fiori Launchpad with your user credentials.
  2. Navigate to the app catalogue or your frequently used apps.
  3. Select the “Create Purchase Requisition” app from the available options.

Step 2: Enter Basic Purchase Requisition Details

  1. Select the Requisition Type: Choose the appropriate requisition type for your needs, such as Standard or Framework.
  2. Set the Delivery Date: Enter the desired delivery date for the items or services.
  3. Confirm the Requestor Details: Ensure that your information is correct, or adjust as necessary.
  4. Add a Description: Provide a brief description of the requisition to make it easily identifiable.

Step 3: Add Items to Your Purchase Requisition

  1. Click “Add Item”: Open a new section to input item-specific details.
  2. Enter Material or Service Number: Input the relevant material or service number, or select from a pre-configured list.
  3. Specify Quantity and Unit of Measure: Enter the required quantity and select the appropriate unit of measure (e.g., pieces, kilograms).
  4. Set Delivery Date per Item: If different from the overall requisition date, specify the delivery date for each item.
  5. Choose Plant and Storage Location: Specify the delivery location within your organisation.
  6. Add More Items: Repeat these steps for each additional item you need to include in the requisition.

Step 4: Review and Adjust Details

  1. Review All Line Items: Ensure accuracy in item details, including quantities, delivery dates, and storage locations.
  2. Error Checking: The system may highlight missing or incorrect information. Correct any errors before proceeding.

Step 5: Add Notes or Attachments (Optional)

  1. Attach Documents: If necessary, attach relevant documents such as specifications or quotes.
  2. Add Internal Notes: Include special instructions or notes for the procurement team or approvers.

Step 6: Submit the Purchase Requisition for Approval

  1. Click “Check”: Validate the requisition to ensure there are no errors or missing details.
  2. Submit the Requisition: Once validated, click “Submit” to forward the requisition for approval.
  3. Receive Confirmation: A confirmation message will indicate that the requisition has been successfully submitted.

Step 7: Track the Status of Your Purchase Requisition

  1. Open the Requisition List: From the Fiori Launchpad, access the “Manage Purchase Requisitions” app.
  2. Monitor the Status: Track the approval status, edit the requisition if necessary, or respond to queries from approvers.

  • Utilise Favourites: Save frequently used materials or services to favourites for quicker access.
  • Customise Interface Views: Adjust the display of information to focus on the most critical details.
  • Leverage Mobile Capabilities: The SAP Slipstream Engine is mobile-optimised, allowing you to create and manage requisitions on the go.
