Creating tangible innovations

Member of the SAP AppHaus Network

Building upon a history of creative environments, the SAP AppHaus Network is a selection of “customer facing” co-innovation spaces in which customers, SAP, and end-users collaboratively work on projects by putting humans and their experiences first.

What is the SAP AppHaus Network?

The SAP AppHaus Network is a distinguished global network of co-innovation spaces designed to foster collaborative projects between customers, SAP, and end-users. These unique environments are centred around design thinking and the Human-Centred Approach, prioritising the needs and experiences of users to drive meaningful innovation. By leveraging technologies like SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), the network transforms business data into tangible, user-focused solutions, ensuring that creativity and practicality go hand in hand.

The Bluestonex AppHaus Space

Based in a beautifully renovated old church, our first-floor space have offices and conference rooms whilst our design centre boasts a large open space that combines the styling of the old with a touch of the new, including a usability lab can be used to test prototypes following SAP’s Human-Centered Approach to Innovation. Bringing everything together into one amazing, collaborative design workspace where creativity flows!

Our design centre is based in the quiet Shropshire market town of Oswestry- an area well known for outdoor team-building and innovation. Shropshire is the birthplace of both the modern Olympic Games AND the Industrial Revolution, the county may appear quiet, but has a long standing history of values that align perfectly with what the AppHaus stands for.

Why not take a break from the hectic city work environment, and enjoy a relaxing drive through the historic Shropshire hills to reach our design centre. Leave all your stress behind and let the creativity flow in our design space.

UX and Innovation

Design Thinking Tools

Our Design Thinking workshops employ a variety of tools to get the most out of a session. From Classic pen and paper to advanced psychology techniques, each tool has been hand picked by our UX experts to get to explore innovation opportunities and identify a problem. Here's a couple we utilise, just to name a few.

LEGO

LEGO is used in Design Thinking to enable hands-on, creative exploration of ideas and solutions, allowing teams to visually and physically model concepts for deeper insights and collaboration.

SAP Business Application Studio

A modern development environment, tailored for efficient development of business applications for the Intelligent Enterprise.

We use SAP Business Application Studio to create clickable prototypes as well as the final build

Adobe Photoshop

Photoshop is our graphic design platform of choice and the industry standard. So much so, that it’s name has become a verb!

It allows our designers to create high fidelity prototypes, helping our customers to see their solution before it’s even built. Any comments, changes, or ideas can then be easily realised until we achieve the perfect “look and feel”.

SAP Build

SAP Build is used in Design Thinking to rapidly prototype and iterate on digital solutions, allowing users to visualise and test their ideas within the SAP ecosystem.

Mural

Mural is used in Design Thinking to enable real-time, collaborative brainstorming and visualisation, helping teams to organise ideas and facilitate creative problem-solving.

Microsoft Teams

Microsoft teams is the obvious choice when it comes to remote communication. We utilise Teams to run our remote design thinking workshops and engage with customers.

We also use Teams to run regular webinars on topics ranging from SAP MDG (flaws included) to Hyper Automation and Machine Learning.

Qualtrics

Qualtrics is used in Design Thinking to gather and analyse user feedback and insights, enabling data-driven decisions that enhance the relevance and effectiveness of design solutions.

Pen and Paper

You can't beat good old pen and paper when it comes to rapid prototyping.

Sketch up ideas there and then in the workshop and create visualisation of ideas in minutes.

We can load photos of these drawings into Invision to turn them into interactable prototypes.
