AppHaus Design Thinking Workshops

Bring the people who'll actually use the solution into the room before it's built, not after. Over one focused session, we take a real business problem from "we think this is the issue" to a tested, prototyped answer your team helped shape.

What actually happens in the room

Five stages, one session, real users throughout:

Empathise

We start with the people doing the job, not the system they use to do it.

Define

Turn what we've heard into one problem statement everyone in the room agrees on.

Ideate

Generate options fast and wide before narrowing anything down.

Prototype

Build a rough, testable version of the strongest idea, not a finished product.

Test

Put it in front of real users in the room, and refine based on what actually happens, not what we assumed would happen.

Our workshop space

This workshop runs out of our dedicated AppHaus space, a converted church in Oswestry, Shropshire, built specifically for this kind of work. Conference rooms, a usability lab, and an open collaborative space designed for the way a Design Thinking session actually moves, not a borrowed meeting room with a whiteboard wheeled in for the day.

Prefer to run it remotely? We deliver the same workshop virtually, with no drop in how it's facilitated.

Not just a good idea. Something you can act on.

What you leave with

A workshop is only worth the day it takes if something real comes out the other end. Here's what that actually looks like:

A prototype, not a slide deck.

You leave with something built and already tested with real users, not a write-up of what might work. That's the difference between an idea and a starting point for actual development.

A problem statement the whole room actually agrees on, business and IT alike

Business and IT often walk into a project with different versions of what's actually wrong. By the end of the session, everyone in the room is solving the same problem, not three adjacent ones.

A clear view of what's worth building next, and what isn't

Some ideas survive contact with real users. Others don't, and it's better to find that out here than three sprints into a build.

Fewer assumptions left for the build phase to trip over.

Every assumption tested in the room is one less landmine waiting in development, where fixing it costs a lot more than a workshop day.
