Create Service Notification on your mobile in Slipstream Engine

We have created another app with Screen Personas and Slipstream! This time it’s the Creation of a Service Notification. You can even use your mobile’s camera to scan the functional location and then create the Notification at the fault location, saving a large amount of time!

The SAP Slipstream Engine makes it easy to create service notifications directly from your mobile device. This guide will walk you through the steps to efficiently create and manage service notifications using the mobile-optimised SAP Slipstream Engine.

Step 1: Access the SAP Slipstream Engine on Your Mobile

  1. Open Your Mobile Browser: Launch your preferred mobile web browser (e.g., Chrome, Safari).
  2. Log in to SAP Fiori Launchpad: Enter your credentials to access the SAP Fiori Launchpad.
  3. Locate the “Create Service Notification” App: Scroll through your app catalogue or use the search function to find the “Create Service Notification” app.

Step 2: Enter Basic Service Notification Details

  1. Select Notification Type: Choose the appropriate notification type (e.g., maintenance, customer service) based on your needs.
  2. Enter the Functional Location: Specify the location where the service is required.
  3. Describe the Problem: Provide a clear and concise description of the issue or service required.
  4. Set the Priority: Choose the urgency of the notification (e.g., low, medium, high).

Step 3: Add Additional Details

  1. Enter Equipment Details: If applicable, select the equipment related to the service notification from the list or enter the equipment number manually.

  3. Add Work Center and Planner Group: If required, enter the responsible work center and planner group for managing the service request.

  2. Submit the Notification: Once satisfied, tap the “Submit” button to send the service notification.

  1. Access Notification List: From the Fiori Launchpad, navigate to the “Manage Service Notifications” app to view your submitted notifications.
